Lash Lift Aftercare: How to Keep Your Lift Looking Perfect for Weeks

You've just walked out of the studio with lifted, defined lashes. What you do over the next few days decides whether that curl lasts six weeks or fades in two. Here's exactly how to look after your lash lift.

The first 48 hours: the golden rules

Your lashes are still setting into their new shape, so for the first 24 to 48 hours:

  • Keep them dry. No washing your face over the eyes, no swimming, saunas or steam rooms.

  • Skip the mascara. Give your lashes a break and let the lift settle.

  • Hands off. No rubbing, pulling or touching your lashes.

  • Sleep on your back if you can, so your lashes aren't crushed into the pillow.

  • Avoid hot yoga and heavy workouts that make you sweat a lot.

After 48 hours: everyday care

Once the first two days have passed, you can get back to normal, with a few habits that keep the curl looking fresh:

  • Brush your lashes gently each morning with a clean spoolie.

  • Use oil-free makeup removers around the eyes.

  • Choose a water-based mascara rather than waterproof, which needs more rubbing to remove.

  • Never use an eyelash curler on lifted lashes.

How long does a lash lift last?

A lash lift usually lasts around 6 to 8 weeks, following your natural lash growth cycle. As new lashes grow in, the lift softens gradually rather than dropping all at once. Most clients book their next appointment at around the 6 to 8 week mark.

Thinking about a Korean lash lift?

Our Korean lash lift gives a softer, more natural-looking lift from the root. A patch test is needed 48 hours before your first appointment, so plan ahead when booking.
