How to Become a Brow Artist in Ireland
Brows frame the whole face, and clients who find a brow artist they trust tend to stay for years. If you're thinking about a career in brows, here's what the path looks like and how to choose the right training.
Step 1: Start with a brow foundation course
Every great brow artist starts with the fundamentals. A good foundation course teaches you:
Brow anatomy, hair growth patterns and face shapes
Brow mapping, so every shape is balanced and suits the client's features
Shaping techniques such as waxing, threading and tweezing
Tinting and colour choice for different hair and skin tones
Health, safety, hygiene, consultation, patch testing and aftercare
Step 2: Practise, practise, practise
After your course, practice is what turns knowledge into confidence. Work on friends and models, take before-and-after photos of every client in the same light, and study how the brows settle over the following days.
Step 3: Add brow lamination
Brow lamination is one of the most requested brow treatments. It sets brow hairs into a fuller, brushed-up shape that lasts for weeks. Learning it lets you offer higher-value appointments and pairs perfectly with lash lifts, using the same lifting and fixing system.
Step 4: Get insured and set up your kit
Before you take paying clients, arrange insurance that covers brow treatments, and invest in professional-grade tools: precise brow tweezers, mapping tools, quality tints and lamination products, disposable brushes and good lighting. You'll find professional brow supplies, including our ROYALIFT PRO lamination range, in the ROYALASH PRO shop.
Step 5: Keep learning
The best brow artists never stop training. Workshops and one-to-one mentoring help you perfect your mapping, master new styles and grow your client list with confidence.
Train with ROYALASH PRO Academy
Our brow training is taught by working artists who run busy studios in Cork and Waterford, so you learn techniques that work in real life, not just in theory. We keep classes to VIP one-to-one or a maximum of 2–3 students, so places are limited. Secure your spot early.
